Overrides
In Bright, an override occurs when an administrator, an automated rule, or other authorized user amends a learner's training record, as recorded in a Bright registration.
Overrides are currently available for the following fields:
In each case, the original data for the field, as provided by the course provider, is permanently persisted in the following fields:
- provider complete
- provider success
- provider score
- provider completed at
Overrides are typically entered manually by the administrator using the Registration Explorer or by automated rule.
Usage In Bright
When Bright is attempting to determine if a learner has completed course, for example, the overridden value is always checked first.
Use Cases
- marking a learning complete or passed on a course where the SCORM Cloud registration itself does not show complete or passed.
- update the completion date of a completion record
- work-arounds for SCORM Completion Errors that affect individual registrations.
